    Hi,
I have a Verizon Audiovox CDM 8900; not active at this time. I want to get my pictures I've stored out of it. I no longer have the software or the USB cord (that I can get at any Radio shack). I can do this? It can be done without service to this old cellphone? Anyone? Please help me.. these are pictures of my Grandsons! Thanks much :) Flo

Is the phone bluetooth compatible? ( instruction manual would state this )

If it is you can if you have one locally get those picture off via Bluetooth on a Kodak Digital Kiosk. ( looks like this http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=502&pq-locale=en_US on left hand menu is store locator )

Otherwise you will need cable and software I'm afraid.

Take out the SIM card and try sticking it into another similar phone.

Not sure if they make SIM card "readers", but you may want to look into that. That is, if photos are even stored on the SIM card...I'm not really sure but I would assume so.

Addendum: Didnt read into inactive being dead phone, but thought just not on a network!!!

Sim card idea of Evilevets, is your best avenue... I've come across a few that store them on media cards ( Sony Erricson ) but the others have all been in the phones memory and not the sim card... but we dont have that Verizion phone in the UK so it could be different.

I don't see any cards? Sim cards? I don't know what they are??? What I think I'm trying to find out is if this Verizon Audiovox CDM 8900 can be hooked up to my computer using the USB and the software (I can get hold of it.. ebay has it for $13.00) even though it is not connnected to the Verizon service? I certainly do appreciate all the responses. I am also unsure (don't have the manual) if it is bluetooth compatible????????

Oh, I thought that you meant it was dead...as in not working. If you just no longer have service for it, but it does power up, then yes.
