I have the Logitech S220™ 2.1 multimedia speaker system and the volume doesn't seem to go that high. Can anyone tell me what I can do to change this, there must be some software change I can make on the computer? Thanks.

    Greetings, kojack22.

What operating system and service pack # are you running, and what type of audio hardware/software?

I am running Windows 7 but unsure of the service pack. The speaker system didn't come with audio software and as far as I checked online there is no drivers available. Thanks for the reply.

Ok, no problem. What's the make and model # of your machine? Please include the service tag #, if applicable.

Also, please download and install Everest, a free system information tool.

Run Everest and click Report (top menu) > Report Wizard > Next
Choose System Summary Only > Next
Choose Plain Text > Finish and wait for report to generate
Click Save to File and leave the File Name as Report
Click the Save as Type dropdown and choose Report files (*txt) and click Save (n.b. Save to desktop, use Browse to locate desktop)

Then attach your log to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

I attached the report. My computer is by Asus with Intel Pentium, model number CM5671 CP WS.

Thanks for helping me with this!

Are you connected to the proper audio output?

And just to ask a stupid question, have you used the little volume knob on the front of the computer??

No volume control on the computer.

I have it attached to a Plantronics computer audio device that allows me to switch between PC speaker output or headphone (but I have it going to auxillary speakers). This same set up worked fine before with other speakers.

If the volume is at max or near max in whatever sound mixer software you're using (looks like yours might be Realtek, from the CM5671 manual), then try bypassing the Plantronics unit, see if your symptoms change.
