    Hi Majorgeeks,

How do I install the inpenxup cab from Dell drivers?
All the other drivers open and load on their own, but this one does nothing. I am wondering if I did something wrong, or if this is the way it is.

    I installed to C drive:
    double clicked to open it
    manually selected all
clicked file link at the top
    selected extract
chose to put contents in the Dell folder

    Thank you!

It is not a driver and there are no drivers within the .CAB file. It is an HTML Manual for your Intel network card. All of the files in the .CAB file need to be expanded and then you would double click on "Index" to view the manual in your default browser. Dell chose to use the .CAB archive because a .ZIP archive would have been too large in their opinion.

Thanks mdonah for your reply; however I am not sure what it means. I am trying to figure out how to download it properly, if I need it, and how to open it. Are you saying I only need to open it if I want to read it? What would I need it for? It says urgent on the Dell website. What do you mean by index?

As I said, it's a manual or help file. There are instructions for the proper operation of your Intel Network card, perhaps with updated information from the original manual. You would download the .CAB archive to your usual download location. Double click on the archive and select where you want the .CAB archive to expand to. By default, that might be C:\Dell\Drivers or C:\Dell.

Once you've done that, there's an extra step. Open the extracted folder by double clicking on it. Single click somewhere in the open folder and type Ctrl+A to select all files. Right click on one of the files and select "Extract". Select the folder you want the files to extract to in the dialog box that comes up or you can create a new folder with a name that makes sense to you like "Intel Network Manual". Once all of the extraction is done, "Index.htm" or "Index.html" is the first page of the manual. When you double click on it, your default browser will open and the index or first page of the manual will appear.

Any HTML document that is created automatically has an Index page and that page has to be there for the document to work.
