Hi!Saturday I moved my daughter into a new home I set up her existing dell 5130 desktop w/xp pro and all was good.Later on the cable co. guy showed up and started his cable install,he needed another outlet for himself and unplugged the running computer without shutting it down first. When I found it unplugged later I attempted to restart but failed!Does anyone have any thoughts of what to do ?

    Thanks KRB

The POST screen hanging at about halfway indicates that the "C:\" drive isn't being properly recognized. Apparently you're not getting any beeps with a message to press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup.

Restart the computer and as soon as the press F2 to enter setup message appears in the upper right, press (don't tap) F2. You may need to hover your finger over the F2 button in order to be able to press the key fast enough.

Check the BIOS screen that comes up to see if the hard drive is being recognized. If it is, go into boot sequence and make sure the hard drive is first or second (behind the CD/DVD drive) in the boot order. Save the changes and exit Setup.

Please report back with your results.
