Insomnia !

It all started about 6 months ago when i would be trying to get some sleep.
First there were bats and balls or UFO's floating around in my head
Tetrix, Monkey Jigsaw and Spaceships followed for a couple of months THEN it was Paper Planes, Darts, Decks of Cards and Slot Machines!

Now all I see is Penguins (sometimes bloody ones), Yetis and Pinball Machines

I try to set myself a time limit on playing the games in the Arcade, but as can be expected; I always say to myself 'just one last shot and i will go to bed'
11pm soon becomes 12am then 1am,2am, 3am and finally I drag myself off to bed where the Penguins come knocking



I went for a game of golf today, yes a real game, but the penguins were there too, honestly I saw them at every hole. They were in the clubhouse, they were in the bar and now I am starting to hear them speaking to me.

This is the first time that I have stayed awake right through the night, its 07.00am - maybe the penguins cannot get to me in daylight? Just like Vampires!

Anyone else have this problem?

 

Not recently, but when I was REALLY addicted to Red Alert I would see the screen, complete with moving characters, whenever I closed my eyes.

Then I got into using Paint to draw schematics, in the zoom mode with the grid, and I started to see the grid when my eyes closed.

Nasty!

Hehe....you bring back memories Grumbles. Picture the scene...

It's the early 1980's...I've just programmed my new BBC Micro in Basic with the Donkey Kong game and I can not stop playing it. My high score is out of this world....my dreams are filled with a big purple ape running around. Ahhhhhhh....those were the days

 

I'v probably done it more times that I'v slept through the night I can still remember some of the the first games that did it in my early teens nigel mansel F1,lemmings,cannon fodder,desert strike

The lemmings music will forever haunt me to this day I remember me and my bro stayed up until dawn playing nigel mansel finally around 5.00am we went for a walk and the street lamps kept tripping us both out back to the racing track
