Inspiron I7559 Battery

My mothers computer is a Dell Inspiron i7559. The battery is swelling and i need to get her a new one. I have been on amazon and they certainly have alot listed but i noticed all of them list 14.1v and the one she has in that came shipped when she bought it is 14.4v. I read alot of the reviews and they all say its compatible. I just wanted to post to ask for some advice and if anyone knows if they are indeed compatible, because that's all amazon really has.

 

Generally, you do want the voltages to match. You can also go with greater current capacity, but voltages should match.

But in this particular case, I think the difference between 14.4V and 14.1V is small enough to not matter.

HOWEVER - when I look for replacement batteries for the 7559, I see 11.4V 74WHr batteries. You need to verify those voltages. I would NOT put a 14V battery in a notebook expecting 11V.

You know what i just noticed what i posted. It was a mistake. The battery in her computer right now is 11.4 volts and all the stuff on amazon was 11.1.

Do you still think its ok to put the 11.1v in when the battery that came with it when it was bought was 11.4?

Mostly all of the posts on amazon and the laptop reference manual that you said has 11.1v. Maybe it was shipped with wrong battery?

Anyway, so its probally ok to put the 11.1v in then right?

 

Again, I don't think .3V matters but if me, I would try to match the original.
