inSSIDer ?

I want to change the channel on my wireless so I downloaded inSSIDer mentioned in these forums to see which channels are most used near me. When I open inSSIDer on the top right where it should show my wireless network interface card/adapter which is Realtek it says No Wi-Fi interfaces found! So there is nothing for me to scan.
Any advice on what to do?

 

Look in http://www.metageek.net/forums/showthread.php?3534-Compatible-WiFi-adapters and see if yours is listed as being compatible with the program.
