Instabillity after installing processor!!!

Hey all!!

Well, I'll begin at the beginning...

2 days ago, I bought a new processor ( the pentium 3.0 800Mhz bus and Ht enabled)
I put away my old 2.53mGHz 533MHz bus with no Ht

So everything went fine, till I started gaming, it said that I may have possible changes in the files present... Well I thought * Install battlefield 2 demo again..* But that's where it began, errors that the cab,zip,rar files can not be read properly, and gave me errors, and I could not install that game at all, all other installs did not work either... Well Ok, battlefield is not such a problem.. but then my internet explorer started freezing and the preformance was so bad.

Tried to reboot the hard drive and reinstall windows again... No way, it said that there was an error in the signature of the cd :S
Went to the bios and set the automatic wizzard to failsave options, and it worked!!!

But it did not help anything, internet explorer started freezing again, did not download, everytime I pressed on save as, it freezed, and every time I pressed on open, it downloaded till 99% and freezed too.
God damnit, now I reinstalled it again, and tried new memory, but the same stuff is happening!!

I installed all the drivers, from the cd that came with the motherboard, updated windows fully, but nothing seemed to help.

Is there something up? proc going crazy?

Well... here are some system spec's:

Before new proc and memory:

Windows xp pro (no service packs, but all updates)
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 800MHz bus speed with hyper threating supported
Seagate Barakuda 120GB HD
MSI Geforce FX5900XT
Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 motherboard (seems like rev 2.0)
CD-RW and DVD player
350Watt Power supply

If there is someway that I can fix it, I would be Glad to know!!!

 

What are the standard voltages of a P4 3.0GHz?? Because the mine is set to 1.375!! I heared something about 1.525.. is that right?? because it could be the problem!

 

I think you should get another PSU about 400w or more, 1.375v or 1.525v they are not harmful to your CPU.

 

Are you sure about that? Because it would be a waste of money if it did not work!

 

Have you updated the bios?
