install failed on combofix..... PLEASE HELP!

    I have had major issues with my computer and have had a thread on software "system has recovered from a serious error". I was instructed to work through the read & run me first and I have hit a road block..... combofix will not install nor will rootrepeal or MGtools. What do I do from here???? Thank you so much for your help!!!!:cry

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    You are not supposed to stop!!! See the first instructions in the READ & RUN ME. Attach the logs from SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes.



    Exactly what happens! These programs do not install. They just extract and run. You need to tell us what exactly happens when trying each one. And did you disable all protection software and disable UAC if using Win 7 or Vista???

    And you should have told us what version of Windows you are running.

    There wasn't anything in your thread in the Software Forum that would lead me to believe you have malware problems, but it does not hurt to check so that it can be ruled out.
