install failure on SP2 Office 2003

windows xp/compaq presario; i unable to download the service pack2 update office 2003 -- it will go through the entire install process, and then i get the message that it was not installed -- it seems to be interfering with Microsoft Outlook send/receive, so i don't want to try reinstalling it becuase then i get "the operation failed" when i send/receive email -- i have had to use system restore twice now -- any suggestions on how to install this? i am in touch with microsoft who directed me to a full install download, but this was unsuccessful, stating that i needed the SKU112.CAB file, which i don't have the disk for -- HELP!

i recently purchased my compaq presario which had office 2003 trial installed (no cd) -- i checked out the site you gave me, and they mention .CAB files -- however, they don't go into where i can actually download the file -- SKU112.CAB.

 

If you have the trial, I doubt you can upgrade to sp2.

Though, you may want to do a search for the sku112.cab file.
