installation problem

I just recieved the 2 new nancy drew games. I installed WARNING AT WAVERLY ACADEMY without problems but when I tried installing RANSOM OF THE SEVEN SHIPS the 1st disc installed without problem but the 2nd disc throws up " a file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file RAN 110.cab is not digitally signed. That may indicate the cabinet file is corrupt." I have tried copying files into new folder on desktop and installing from there but now I get a message saying "the installer has encounted an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package, The error code is 2349.'
Any ideas as to what the problem is. I don't think it is my computer as the other game installed without problems . I read it may have something to do with regestry problems. I have just run cc cleaner & Clary

might be a scratch or marking on the disc?

 

Thanks for your reply much appreciated. There are no scratches or marks on the disc that I can see that was the first thing I checked. This is brand new straight out of the shrink wrap. The person I bought them off has been great & will replace them if we can't get them working.

 

is it legit/store bought or a copy?

 

Just a shot but you could try "Right clicking the cd/dvd drive" and "Open/Explore" the disc, fine the AutoRun..exe and run it from there, I've had discs in the past with similar problems and this has sometimes worked.

 

Thanks for all your replys....Yes it is legit....bought from the same guy I get all my Nancy Drews from they come straight from usa. Never has a prob lem before with any of the, looking on herinteractive site I can see there are people having same trouble as me with this game so looks like it is a a disc prob. Not to worry a replacement disc is being sent so can't ask for more then that.
