ok, my comp, a compaq presario 6300NX, came standard with the Nvidia GARt driver.

After i uninstall the GART driver, exactly where do i install the new driver at and is that all i have to do

 

Proper procedure for nVidia drivers is to first change to Standard Graphics Adapter driver, then remove the nVidia driver from add/remove programs, then install the new driver.

What exactly did you remove, and how did you remove it? Driver installations contain more than just the basic driver. Control panel application is installed as well. You can't just remove the basic driver or you'll likely have conflicts with the new driver.

 

i havnt uninstalled it yet, i want to make sure i do it right. The problem is is that Cal of Duty says i need to update my drivers in order for the game to run.
