installationpackage(*.msi) file missing for nav installation

    hi caan some one help me on this,
    when i am trying to install norton anti virus 2005 by executing NV11ESD.EXEnv11esd.exe i am getting the following error after going through some part of installation:

    Windows installer:
    the feauture you are tring to use is on a cd rom or other removable disk that is not available.

    insert the NAV disk & click ok

    in the file name: NAV
    file type: installation package(*.msi)


    are there. but this download i am doing from the symantec site. i dont understand why it is asking for cd. please help me in this as this one is frustrating me alot.

    also there are two entrys of norton antivirus and norton internet security in my add/ remove program when i try to uninstall it it gives the same error. that two are uninstalled long time ago but they r still there every time i try to do uninstall the same error appers.
    looking for some techy to help me in this

    Check out the Norton website for instruction on how to COMPETELY remove Norton!! Sometimes when you uninstall Norton, it doesn't completely do the job!! When you go to reinstall it will interfere and give you all kinds of errors!!

    Thanks Shadow...I hate being incomplete, but I was in a hurry for a docs appointment at the time!! You know how it is...Sometimes you just can't seem to tear yourself away!!!!

    thanks rogvalcox and shadow for ur help. actually the first suggestion it self helped me. actual problem was even though i uninstalled through some process they are still in windows installer. so i downloaded windows installer cleaner and removed every thing related to norton so problem solved . thanks guys for ur help very much appreciated.
