Installing clone backup after Win 7 clean install

After I do a Windows 7 clean install of OS, how do I install a clone fo my
hard drive on an external hard drive backup done prior to the clean install? The clone was done on the Windows 7 backup wizzard. Thanks for any help!

 

I may be misunderstanding you but it sounds like you are hoping to restore all your files and applications into a clean Win 7 installation. If that is so it simply cannot be done, as restoring a clone will wipe out your clean install and put the system back to exactly how it was when the clone was created. If you want to do a clean install you need to save all your personal stuff first, then install Win 7 and reinstall your software and finally restore your personal files. If you have not done this sort of thing before there is a high risk of data loss so it may be better to try to address whatever problems Win 7 has at present.
