installing different video drivers

i just got the newest nvidia drivers*66.93 i think* and it was crashing medieval:total war when i played it. someone gave me a link for Omega drivers, which are nvidias but tweaked differently. i dont know whether having both the reg. nvidias and the omegas will conflict or not? thanks!

 

You can only have one set of drivers at once, I'm not too familiar with nVidia drivers, but you should be fine going back to the nVidia drivers that you were using before. I've had similar problems with updated ATI drivers, they cause more problems than they fix sometimes.

 

so i should uninstall my old drivers? and how do i do that ive never had to uninstall drivers, just install them.

 

I have had both ATI and Nvidia cards (got a 6800 GT at the mo), have tried Omega and DNA drivers and they are so-so.
Uninstall your Nvidia drivers from the control panel-uninstall programs, reboot and click cancel when windows asks you to install drivers
Run the Omega drivers instilation and reboot - thats it

BUT...uninstalling Omega drivers and going back to official Nvidia drivers can be a pain, Omega can leave files and reg entries that may conflict with the official drivers
