I'd like to install the newest version of Mozilla Firefox...is it wise to simply install over the old version, or should I uninstall and reinstall from scratch? I'm worried about how to save my bookmarks if I completely uninstall the old version.
Advice? I'm running Windows XP Pro.

Easiest way is to go to Help/check for updates

Your profile is not stored in the Firefox folder. It is stored in the Documents and Settings folder under your login/username. It is not deleted when you uninstall Firefox. For extra security, you can back up your profile folder by copying it ot a different location like a CD or USB drive.

Hey thanks for your help! I backed up the profile folder, and had no problems with the installation. Cheers!
