Installing fonts

At one time I knew how to do this but can't seem to remember how now. I have some true type fonts in my documents file. How do I get them to where I need them so that I can install them? Going to control panel only shows the fonts that are already installed on my computer.

 

Control Panel -> Fonts -> Click on File, choose Install New Font. Browse to location of font to be installed wherever it's been downloaded to on your HD.

 

just drag the font files and drop them into

(Your Hard Drive Letter) C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

By doing this, the fonts will automatically be installed
i would recommend closing all programs which use fonts like word, paintshop etc whilst doing it, then when you start the program again your new fonts should appear.

 

This will not work for all font types. The method described by TheDoug is slightly more reliable.

 

I am pretty sure you can just drop them into the fonts directory. If for some reason they do not show up in your document just go to the fonts directory and double click the font in uestion. This loads the font into the system and will display the entire font alphabet as well. For some reason not all fonts will load with the copy method. However, I do believe most of them will.
