Installing IPOD Software

I havea number of problems. When I try to install my ipod software so I can use my new ipod, after the installation is done, it tells me that the installation was interrupted and no system modifications were made. Then i get an idriver.exe error message. Also, my application manager service cannot start, giving me the error message (127:The specified procedure could not be found.) Then when I try to install itunes by itself, it says could not connect to service manager error = O. It also says it couldn't install Gearasdiwpm service. How do I fix these problems so i can install my software?
