I have tried to install Java on my computer (virtually new due to a major hardware crash which burned out three disks, and the mother board and graphics card!)

Getting this message in both Firefox 2 and IE6

"Error Applying Transform. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" (Who writes this stuff  )

Any ideas please - though less technical than the above would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks

    Paul

Sorry for delay in responding - was away.

Thanks for the response. The main areas covered by the forum seem to involve browsing to the Sun Java folder - I never got that far.

However, I have since seemed to be able to download it - then a Firefox update came along and said it was no longer compatible!

Jusat went on the Java download site again - and it said I had the latest version - so all seems well. Damn funny things computers :D
