    Hi there,

I'm relatively a new newbie to all this stuff would appreciate your help.

i recently bought the GeForce 9600 GSO gpu and tried to install it today but it wont fit in, the SATA cables connecting to the motherboard are blocking it, there are 4 ports but only 2 cables. Would it be OK if i moved the two SATA cables from port 1 & 2 to ports 3 & 4?? would i have to anything to my PC before or afterward?

if it helps i have an Acer Aspire M1641
MOBO - american magetrends inc. R01-B2
    CPU- E4700 @2.60 GHZ
    3 GB ram

I don't think that would be an issue. Just go into the bios and make sure the settings and the boot priority list is correct.
