    Hey everyone!

I tried to buy new ram for my laptop. Right now I have 384mb of PC2100 ddr266. I scanned my system on crucial.com, and they said I could use either 2700 or 3200, and ddr333 or ddr400. So I got 2x 512mb of 2700 ddr333, and my laptop won't even turn on. I just updated the bios, and in the updates it said "support for 333". What did I do wrong, or how do get the ram to work?

    Thanks! This place is awesome.

If you are sure that the new ram that you installed is fully and correctly seated, and the laptop doesn't work, then I would recommend trying part of the old ram with part of the new. PC 2700 should underclock to 2100 specs. :)

Also, try the new ones one at a time. Sometimes one bad stick will cause both to crash. And if absolutely nothing works, look into Crucial's warranty. ;)
