Installing OS xp sp3 on a new HDD great problems

HDD chras, bought a new one (hitachi ATA 500MB deskstar) and mounted on the PC.
BIOS recognized the HDD and I put the first bot from CD DVD.
Used my boot and instalation cd with xp sp3, and the HDD was formatted and the OS installed .
Downloaded all MS updates incl.validering and authenticity test, all ok.
Begin to install various apps. suddenly the computer shut down, black screen, the computer starts again,
boot and shutdown, and so on.Used the boot CD to format partition 1 C: FileSystem NTFS, alvays ok.
(if I selected quick format, it could not be done ) files whas now transferred to the partition,
When it was finished, the system suddenly stops, and there will blue screen with info.
a serious error has occurred and the PC is shut down.
To move forward from there must supply to the PC is interrupted, and so on.
Some help is desirable.

They succeeded once to get the OS installed. First I installed drivers for the motherboard (not BIOS) reboot ok.
So I installed drivers for VGA card, after reboot the system shut down
and the blue screen with white text came up with the text,
a serious error has occurred and the system shuts down to prevent damage

I have tried many times to reinstall the OS. Either are above text
or text formatting can not be performed. I have also tried with a replacement of
the graphic card, but without result
F8 have no funktion
