I have a question about Installing windows xp home edtion, I bought a used notebook, and it had windows professional installed, and when I tried getting updates it needed, microsoft told me that I was using a copied verison and not the orignal, so I bought windows home edtion upgrade to fix the problem, but now it wont let me install it. does any one have any suggestions on how I need to install the orignal windows back on this notebook? Thanks

Heh, installing XP home over XP pro is NOT an upgrade. That's a downgrade. I think you'll have to return the copy of Windows XP home...unless you have an older version of windows you can use. If that's the case, install that (98/ME/200), and THEN try your XP home upgrade.
