I have Windows XP Home OS.

My wireless router is a Linksys wireless-g router.

I tried using a Belkin wireless USB network adaptor.
When I plugged it in, the installation wizard could not find the software.
Does the adaptor have to be from the same Manufacture? Is there a way to get around this?

You can usually mix 'n match wireless routers and adapters. If you weren't given a driver CD with the adapter then try downloading the driver from Belkin Support

Thanks. I downloaded the software and it solved the problem. The only problem I have now is to move the router closer. The signal is too weak.

    Thanks again

Thanks for the feedback. You could try other wireless channels - it can help with signal issues.
