i am working on a HP and the best thing to do is format and reinstall windows XP home. i am going to use the key on the case for the install but i was wondering if the xp home disk was bootable? if not how can i install xp home in dos?

or is it better to just restore back to when it was first bought using the hp reovery and if i do that how what can i use to remove all the unneeded BS?

Dont use HP Recovery, it gives you too much ****, cant you just simply boot the CD at startup and format?

If you have a Windows XP Home disk it will be bootable. You may have to enable booting from the CD in your BIOS.
