I have this in my laptop the model and all info should appear in my Sing but just in case it is a Compaq Presario M2005US Or M2000 what ever one you can bring up first. But i wanted to know if it is a card or a chip and how does it compare to other laptop graphic cards because i see alien ware has Intel® Extreme also so im guessing its good and it works great with me playing Quake 3 and Guild Wars and other online game like that!

No. Intel has never made a good graphic card. Beyond basic desktop applications, they are the worst money can buy. Alienware is selling lower end systems now to compete, so dont be suprised at that. If you price shop around, you will notice most higher end machines (1,200 or so and up) will have Nvidia or ATI. You will find the latest games reccomend Nvidia and ATI (Doom3, World Of Warcraft, Half Life 2). While I like my intel boards and processors, the day has never existed, nor can I see it coming, where they have a 3d card suitable for gaming :)

Whats even sadder is that the #1 graphics card maker is Intel, not ATI/NVida.

Well, most people who own computers don't play games, so Intel graphics are quite adequate.

To answer the other part of your question, it may be able to play Quake 3 since it's a fairly old game, but I'm not sure about Guild Wars. It's fairly new isn't it?

P.S. If you are using the computer in your sig, you will want more RAM. 256Mb is the minimum for Windows XP, at least 512 is recommended. And if you're playing games, you'll need at least that. Maybe even 1Gb. Especially with your onboard video sucking up your system RAM.

I am using the Laptop in my Sign and i think it is funny how it plays Quake 3 Guild wars and all those hi graphic new games with hardly no lag at all i only get lagged when my dad is on his desktop and aol at the same time as i am paying then i get pings of 900 or more and the games looks like everyone is teleporting from spot1 to spot 2!

I think Extreme graphic from Intel run as GF2MMX400 for 865 and it depend on your ram share.

Intel Extreme(ly rubbish) graphics are certainly bad alright. They're pretty much all made for on-board graphics applications (e.g. onboard graphics on motherboards, built into a laptop etc.), in fact I know of no Intel seperate card off hand.

PC manufacturers also tend to under-cool these chips. I have one on an IBM in the other room, which overheated itself quite nicley after about 30 hours of normal 2D operation. Pretty shameful really.
