intel 82801db ich4 lan controller driver

Hey Guys,
I previously posted about my HD poblem, I ended up taking a HD outta my old computer and doing a fresh re-intsall of XP Home Edition. But now I can't access the internet thru my ethernet cable. I was told it was a driver issue, so I did some searching for a intel 82801DB LAN controller driver, but I'm having absolutlty no luck what so ever trying to find it. I would need to download it and throw it on a flash drive to get it on my computer.

According to Everest you have a Intel D845GRG motherboard. Here is the LAN driver.

To add: your report shows that you're at XP Service Pack #1 and that your DirectX is at version #8.1 - you might seriously consider updating to XP SP3 and DirectX 9.0C.

No problem - had a feeling you were up to snuff on this stuff, but I had to throw out the standard caveat.

For some reason a diferent computer I have that runs vista, won't save(or for that matter download) any drivers I need for that other computer. I mean, all I want to do is download the motherboard driver and throw it on a thumb drive and put it on my other computer but it won't even save it. (I have a friend getting them for me now ). But why wouldn't that Vista computer do that?

Sounds like the basis for another troubleshooting thread.

 

IE(not sure version tho)

 

No error messages. It will come up with the run/save/cancel window and I'll click save, but it won't let me choose where to save it. On occassion it will come up with the download bar to show how much time is left..but that will just appear for a quick second then blink away.
( I know that I should've startred a new thread for this)

 

No I haven't....MY RIG LIVES:celebrate:celebrate:celebrate I'm so happy right now. My internet connection problem was a modem card that was conflicting with something else.(Best was to fix that..PULL THE CARD )
