    Hi,
    Would Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Socket processor
    be a multiple core CPU or dual processor cpu?
    And would Windows Xp pro support this?

    On your first question, yes and yes.;)
    A multi-core processor combines two or more independent processors into a single package. A dual-core device contains two independent processors.
    On the second one, yes, XP Pro will run on it.
