I built this computer 4 months ago and have never had a problem after using Advanced System Care pro to clean up the system (not saying this program caused it but its what I used when the problem started) all of a sudden I have the Intel Extreme Graphics icon in my system tray and I never installed any drivers for that.
I am using a dedicated gtx 580 and In the bios it shows onboard video is disabled.
Nowhere in the computer is there any listing or setting for Intel Extreme Graphics to adjust or remove, clicking on the icon in the system tray does nothing but show a small Intel Extreme Graphics splash screen.
I do not want to use that for any reason what so ever.

    Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 board
    intel I7-2600
    8gigs GSkill
    2 500g in raid 0
    gtx 580 using 295.73 drivers
    win7 64bit

    Nothing is Overclocked

Everything is up to date as off 3\5\2012

Very odd. If it is disabled in the bios it should not be there. I would make sure a driver was not installed without your knowledge. Only other thing I can think of is to disable it in the control panel and I assume that you double checked the BIOS first to be sure it is disabled. Finally, simply removing it from startup should do it.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.
Yah that is why its odd there is absolutly nothing in the control panel nor is there anything to uninstall as I can find nothing installed that has Intel's name other then Rapid Storage.

There are 3 listings in the startup all named the same
    Intel(R) Common User Interface
    all located in C:\Windows\system32
    1- igfxtray.exe
    2- hkcmd.exe
    3- igfxpers.exe

I know the computer is using the gtx580 card cause when I run Uniqine benchmark at max settings I get 40fps average no way the Intel Graphics can do that.
It's just the icon was never there before and as a tweaker\gamer I dont like seeing things running in my task bar that I dont need :)
    Thanks for your help.

Those are all driver related to the Intel card. I suspect the driver update part of Iobit did that. Definetely remove and avoid those driver updates and the problem should be solved for your needs.
