I'm going to be reinstalling XP and this time I would like to use Intel Matrix for my SATA Hard Drive. It won't be in a Raid configuration but Matrix will improve drive performance even when not used with Raid and when I do utilize Raid in the future, the OS won't need to be reinstalled.
So...Does anyone have any tips or comments about doing this?
I know the Raid disks have to be used while installing the OS. Any step by step instructions? Change something in the BIOS?
    Thanks for any help.

Let me be a bit more specific on what I'm trying to understand:) I read the manual and some of it was unclear. Since I'm only using 1 SATA disk w/ Matrix to enhance performance and make upgrading to a real Raid array in the future easy, do I still need to enter the Raid Configuration Utility? That's where the Raid level is specified and I don't want 0,1,5 or 10. I want to use a non-Raid disk for my setup, correct?
Any suggestions on using this type us setup?
