Intel Video Driver Messes With Laptop Dim

I have an asus 1025C model laptop ( win 7 home premium 32 bit)

It uses a video driver of intel media accelerator 3600. The problem i have is that the driver is fiddly , the screen brightness goes up and down by itself without me doing anything. I already disabled auto screen dim and all of that and it still has this issue.

I used the 3 different drivers available on asus website as well as the newest one on intels website same issue with all of them.

When i have no driver installed the lcd brightness doesn't do this , but with no driver installed i am not able to adjust the brightness to my preference and it just keeps it at a median level.

Any idea on what is causing this issue? It can't be that the bulb is going out because as i said it seems to be driver related but i tried all drivers available and the issue still persists. Perhaps there is something else i am missing?

I quickly tested this linux mint with the auto open gl video driver it doesn't do that there
