I'm trying to turn on Intel virtualization in my system Bios as some of my programs require it to work best, but turning it on causes my system on reboot to bring up a message telling me to "insert a proper boot method" and it won't proceed past that point. Any idea what's going on here,as this has me stumped? I was trying to do a install of Proton VPN at the same time, but I don't see how this could've affected anything,as it worked fine once I turned Intel virtualization off.

Are you sure this is what the message says? I've seen select proper boot device or insert boot media rather than the statement you are saying you receive. I get no hits for "insert a proper boot method".

VT-x is supported, VT-d is not.

Someone that knows more about this will need to explain the difference. I know nothing about the subject.
