hi all, one small problem with my intellimouse 3.0 usb.with the latest 5.0 drivers i cannot program my buttons to individual keys. Such as two side buttons to F10, F11, ect ect, which use to be called keystroke on the 4.1 drivers. Still have 4.1 drivers but when try to install them it wont let me as newer version installed, tried uninstalling but still know luck. I know its not a great problem but with gaming my keys are all pre loaded to certain keys & a pain to change.. Any ideas ?

    Not really.

About the only mouse that I know will let you use all the buttons to map in a game is the Logitech MX510...

As for removing Intellipoint 5.0(which is garbage software I hear), you will have to give us the information we really needed in the beginning, like OS, system, mouse, etc.

Only way I could get rid of the 5.0 drivers was to reformat and reinstall. That is XP. From the time I installed them I had nothing but trouble. Uninstalling did not help, and neither did tying to go back to older drivers.

Maybe Adrynalyne can come up with a way to get rid of them without reformatting.

Sorry he is my specs, if needed for my question. Already explained my mouse specs? Anyway as i said with old 4.1 drivers you can program buttons, just completing a fresh install. Pain it has been with none of my chipsets drivers loading so il leave the install alone=) ive got a logitech mx500 somewhere, but last time i tried it i couldaint get all buttons programed iether? anyway just thought there might be a line somewhere to let me override my drivers..
    thanks anyway
