Intergrated Audio Problems.

Well, I was not sure weather to post this in software or the hardware forums.. Hopefully i chose correctly, if not i do apologize.

I'm currently running win7 4gb ram mobo is PSK-E 750 watt psu 8800 gts nvidia gfx card (Hasn't been a problem BUT just moved so using this thing until i can upgrade it later (had to leave my pc at home.) Anyways, I installed the drivers for my audio (soundMAX) boy was that a mistake! when ever i play a game (Lets say counter strike for instance) it crash's over and over again. This problem did not occur at all until installing said driver. I'm Currently at a loss, Are there any generic drivers that would work that i could use instead of this? The default win7 drivers were working ok (minus the fact i couldn't use my microphone to communicate in games or skype when my games are open) After some research i found that soundMAX is "bad news" I guess well say. So hopefully someone may have an idea of what i could do.

 

Yes, I have already done this. Im wondering if there are any other drivers i may use for my audio / mic. The audio with win7 default drivers is fine but mic well not work as long as im in a game (as stated above)
