My Hp photosmart 7550 printer "Lost" it's connection, or so the computer said. I uninstalled the printer, reinstalled and got the internal error 2343 message. I made a back up copy, run REGEDIT, HKEY_class root, Installer, products and looked for the error with no luck. I then uninstalled the USB's and reinstalled them. Still with no luck. I am also getting HPlZ311 trying to configure. I am running XP with SP2. Any suggestions? I also run all the software, spyware, ect. that you suggest. Thank you, Yorkie

I wonder if you have the latest motherboard drivers installed? HP should have them for download. I checked their website and there is no error like that listed for that printer. Heres their driver page, though I dont think it will help:

For the board drivers, you could try the Intel drivers, though I have seen where a HP or other brand name would not install, but its worth a try.

Hmm, you could check the drivers and choose the option to roll back, that may help, otherwise, try the board drivers. Neither will hurt before taking it in. I would really like to see the effect of the board drivers, since a store could charge you a couple hours just to install them.

This was a night mare. The store checked the drives and everything was ok there. So I installed the recovery software. It makes me sick to think that I lost everything. Is there anything to help recover the lost files now? Thanks yorkie
