Internal error

I was starting to download this:
Hornig PDF Catalogue Download our 2011 catalogue (25 MB PDF-File)
That failed, and I got an "internal error" message, but no explanation on what happened.
Can you folks weigh in on this?

A little more info would be good.

When you got the error message, did you have to restart Windows or anything to clear it?

What causes you to think the error is related to the download. It's not all that uncommon for downloads to fail due to server problems or traffic issues.

 

If I recall correctly, it was cleared by cuing on the screen. I did not need to restart Windows.
I went back to the site with the link, and clicked on the link again.
I for a white background, and the word "Done" in the bottom left corner of the screen.
I then reloaded, this time the background was black, and the word "Done" in the same place.
I tried unsuccessfully to open the link in a new window.
The link is not a new post. It came up sometime in Feb., so I tend to doubt the problem was due to traffic.
For what it's worth I run Win XP Pro on a PC clone.

It sounds to me like your dealing with a website that is having problems. If it's a site with online sales (Shopping Cart), it could be a database problem on their end.

 

Just on a whim, retried site and got back on. Must have been on their end. Nothing I tried worked. Either that or my self-diagnostic automatically repairs everything program kicked in.
