Every time I open Internet Explorer I get the following message:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."
I have run a number of Spyware detectors and anti-virus software, to no avail.
I have uninstalled IE 6.0 and reinstalled it, to no avail.
I have tried a few other fixes through research I've done on my own.
I have attached an HJT log for review.

Some things to note: I can get into Internet Explorer by going to the Control Panel and clicking on the Windows 2000 Support link. Once in, I can access web pages, including favorites. I cannot however access any links this way.
Also, when I try to open Windows Explorer, it starts the Windows Installer and asks for the Symantec Software Disc. Same thing if I try to cut or copy a file from the desktop.
I am currently running Firefox to access this site.

    System:
    Dell Latitude
    W2K
    1GB RAM

    Thanks in advance.
This is my first post so let me know if more info. is needed.
I will be more than happy to oblige.

Should this be under a different Forum Topic?

First, see if it list IEXPLORER.EXE in the error message. Maybe at the top of the box or in the title.

Go to Start > Run > and type regedit This will open the registry and allow you to locate the key listed below. Be sure it is the exact key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM

You will need to delete that key, BUT BEFORE YOU DO. Make a backup of it just in case, by highlighting it, click on File > Export > name the file and save (to My documents probably).

Now right click the key and delete it. Close the registry and try Internet Explorer.

This fix has worked for others in the past, although there are no guarantees.

Go to Start, Run and type in regedit then OK.

Find and delete the following key,

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM

*Only work in the Registry after taking the necessary precautions*

What is that key associated with anyway?
I googled it and came up with nothing...
