I'm curious about the number of internet attacks to my computer the last few days. I use Norton, & when I'm online lately I'm getting thirty to forty warnings a day. Most unusual. What's going on? The IP addresses are all different.

40? that's it? consider yourself lucky.. I typically get 200 or more port scans and someone trying to compromise my machine.

Well, now I feel better! It just seemed like a lot since I typically was getting only 4 - 5 a day.

an old virus is making it's way around the world again, so I would expect some increased "bad" traffic. :)

Does this mean I should turn off my 0.0.0.0/8 scan? :)

Norton is just BSing you alot, they think that you will see how much it is doing, when actually it's just lying alot about how much it does... I'm sure it does something... but not all that it says it does...
