Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Every night at 11:30 my cable internet connection is lost. It comes back on after about a minute and everything is fine. This is the only time of the day that I have noticed this problem.

I am running XP Pro with SP1. I run AdAware and Spybot a couple times a week, and I use Norton AV as well as AVG Free. I also recently set up Zone Alarm Firewall. This problem was there before ZA though. I also do not have any scheduled tasks set at this time.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks for any help.

Your cable modem or network hub (if you have one) could be set to allow connections 23 hours and 59 minutes. this would disconnect you and then after the minute is up it would reconnect you. My wireless router does this at 11:59pm every night. I don't beleive there is anyway around it.

im sure that this is not a major problem. its like the said. But it does seem a bit strange.

Id give your cable supplier a call and see if it could be fixed. This could get annoying if your downloading something at the tim eof the cutoff
