Somehow my ICS stopped, and refuses to start, telling me that it cannot start on the local computer. I have all of it's dependencies started, everything that is supposed to be for it to run, yet it will not start. I've been reading all over the place on solutions, which none seem to work.

Obtain an IP Address Automatically is checked, like it should since I'm Host.
Use the following DNS server addresses: 192.168.0.10 (router, always worked before)

Still refuses to start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Im assuming your using XP.

I would start from scratch. Go through the network wizard again! Do not auto accept an IP. Assign them to both computers ie.. 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 with a subnet 255.255.255.0. Then on the requesting computer make the gateway the ICS computer 192.168.0.1. Not sure about the DNS server but the router sounds right. Make sure under Cntr Panel, Admin tools, Services, that the ICS service is set to auto and is started. Once all that is done start small. Ping the ICS computer and start from there and work your way out.

Another recommendation. If your router is 192.168.0.10 and giving your ICS computer a 192.168.0.X IP, then for the other adapter in that computer and the requesting computer I would put it on a different sub net, ie..192.168.1.X instead of 192.168.0.X I hope is didn't confuse you.

    Good luck
