I cannot access secure websites nor surf on normal mode. I can connect to the internet on safe mode. How do I correct this problem? Is this a virus? I have trendmicro pccillin installed and current.

What type of firewall do you have installed?

IF you have XP heres a simple way
    Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Security Center

If Windows detects your firewall it should tell you what kind of firewall you have

The firewall is through Trend Micro (I think). I could not find it the way you described.

Might want to disable it temporarily, then see if that fixes your problem.
