I need to find out how many gigabytes I read and write each month when I surf the 'net on my desktop. Is there an app that will do this for me?

Also, can I do the same on my cellphone?

Forget the cellphone. I'm mainly interested in my internet usage on my desktop computer.

    Windows 10:
    >Settings >Network and Internet
You will see total for last 30 days
Click "Data usage" to drill down by app

@bearsound: I connect to the internet via Ethernet. At the top of the Network Status page, it shows 35.84 GB being used from the last 30 days. If I click the Data Usage button, it shows that Firefox.exe racked up 18.44 GB. I assume that the latter figure is correct.(?)

@plodr: I found how to check my data usage on my Pixel 7 Pro cellphone. My cellphone ISP is Consumer Cellular (i.e. that's whom I'm connecting to, via my router).

My thanks to both of you men!

My cell provider is also Consumer Cellular. I can check data usage either on my phone or by going here
    Code:
    https://www.consumercellular.com/login
logging in and then clicking on the far right here
    cell_data.jpg cell_data.jpg
View Data Usage. That's less helpful because they only show a short period of time. But it does show how much was used each day.

oops, I just noticed there is a dropdown box and I can select any time period since I've owned the phone!

    Okay, I'll try that tomorrow.
Actually, I tried it after reading your message. I went to the site and tried to set up a new account. I entered my cellphone number, selected the option to send a temporary password by email (I haven't set up text on my cellphone yet) and then clicked "Send Email". I got a message stating "We're sorry, we are unable to send you a temporary password via email" and that I should call them.
So I called their 888 number from my landline, went through the robot menu, and then was told to call tomorrow (Monday) for some reason that I've since forgotten.
    And so it goes...

I've called Consumer Cellular several times on a land line copper wired phone. They should be able to help you set up an account.

I got my husband a Tracfone and I had to call them too because I was unable to set up an account on my computer. They set it up and I've been fine with that too. I use a $20 card every 3 months to get him 180 minutes. You can no longer see the remaining minutes on the phone so it was critical that I had an online account to be sure he has enough minutes to call. Unused minutes rollover so he has more than enough minutes now. I was just worried at the beginning because I thought he was getting 60 minutes for 3 months.
