Internet disconnecting at random

Ok will start with my system:
MSI 870a-g54 mb
AMD Phenom II 955 BE clocked to 3.8
8 GB ripjaws RaM

and a trendnet router..unsure of the model #

I have 3 computers on the home network, 2 wireless laptops and the above system is a wired connection to the router.

What is happening is, seemingly at random intervals the wire connected system is disconnecting from the internet (the connection status icon in the lower right corner pops up saying disconnected from internet) for maybe 30 seconds max and reconnects, the wireless laptops do not seem to be effected, and the DSL modem never changes status.

It is just enough of an interuption to drop me out of any voice com. progams I have running and kill any online games I am running and be really annoying.

For protection I have Avast allways running, with real time shields active, windows firewall is on, and I have Adaware running with shields active, all up ro date, I virus scan twice per week and run Adaware and Malwarebytes once per week.

 

Do you have the same setups on the laptops too? Try disabling one anti-virus/identity protection program. Either avast or adaware should be turned off and probably uninstalled but the malware fighters have a better idea of whether uninstalling is necessary. I would start with that and then look at driver updates for the nic card & power save options in windows

 

Ok going to try a day or 2 with adaware shut off, then a day or 2 with avast shut off to see if I can narrow it down to one of those.
