My browser (IE 6.0) does not permit images (from websites) to appear. Instead, I get a red box with an "X" in it. I tried the basic setting in Internet Options>Advanced>Multi-media>'show pictures.
I have also tried the 'registry fix'...all values are set correctly.
When I change the 'encoding' to Western European (Windows), the images appear. But...the next website I go to, or restart IE, it defaults back to Western European ISO, and the images no longer appear.
This is frustrating to have to make these changes each time. Can anyone help?
    THank you.

Matacumbie...thanks for the quick reply. I rebooted the machine and everything seems fine now. It had something to do with the 'encoding/language' settings. The crisis has ended.
    AThanks a lot!
