Internet Explorer 6 Problem

For A short while i was running firefox (the latest version) i wasn't too happy with it so i uninstalled it now when i double click on it's icon it sometimes doesn't load i just have windows reboot and it comes up and tells me ieplorer.exe is running and it gives me an option to close it out.
and when i get an error message and it asks me if i want to report it, it just tells me it can't find my browser (nether spybot or avg can find anything wrong (the only thing avg anti virus finds is a file called hosts (listed as changed, it was changed by spybot)))
would it be safe to reinstall firefox or just install internet explorer 7

 

Wow, I think you're one of the few that has tried Firefox, and decided they like IE better. That's OK, to each their own.

Either way, or both. Or you could install Opera (another alternative, free browser).

I was talking about internet explorer's icon (but that problem ended when i downloaded and installed opera (web browser).
Plus i found out that mozilla left some of it's folders on my hd (i deleted them).
