Internet Explorer 6 times out

Running Windows XP Home Service Pack 2. When attempting to logon to a financial website, Internet Explored times out during the logon process. I have completed a number of things like disabling Spyware Doctor's on guard shield, disabled the XP firewall, trusted the website in IE's trusted sites zone, turned on override cookies in IE's Advanced privacy settings, turned off service pack 2's pop-up blocker, added the website to override cookie handling for individual websites, and none of these setting changes work. The sad thing is this is a brand new Dell Latitude D505 right out of the box. There are no viruses and no spyware detected on this system. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What kind of anti-virus and firewall do you have installed?
