Internet Explorer 6

How do I get an "administrative" version of 6.0 SP1? I have tried (stupid me) IE 7 Beta 2 and had all kinds of problems. Uninstalled it and now want to go back to version 6. Need to load onto a couple of computers and cannot use the setup file.

Although, in my honest opinion, you're far better off using Mozilla Firefox, especially if you were interested in IE 7 which is a total rip-off of Firefox. Not to mention that it is far more secure than IE 6. If you're one to worry about the sites you can only view in IE, then I would also recommend IE Tab, which will allow you to open a tab in Firefox that uses the IE engine, allowing you to render all that non-standard code designed specifically for IE.

 

This is only for the setup file that accesses Microsoft for the download. I'd like to get a complete version of the download for "manual" installation instead of accessing online.

Well then, I'm afraid that I don't know the file you're after, but I would recommend that you search the Internet Downloads section of microsoft.com
