I downloaded it, but I hardly ever use IE because firefox is superior in every way. Some features are better than those in IE6, some, in my opinion, are worse. Tabbed browsing is always good but I don't like the layout of the buttons and the lack of customization. It is possible to install IE7 without overwriting IE6 which I would deffinately recommmend because it's quite possible you won't like it.

    It's BETA. Leave it alone.

Yeah just use Firefox. You probably will anyway.

Sorry but Firefox is not the be all and end all of browsers TBH, Opera is better imho.

But to IE7, whicle I've had no issues with it, I'm also not using it with XP, but Vista and x64 IE7+ which is stable and quick..... but as its still an early beta for XP, like above comments leave alone until at least RC2 is release.

If your using a router then their will not be anything in the connections box, how do you connect to the internet?

Instructions for beating up your brother... ooops! uninstalling IE7 beta
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/ie/releasenotes/default.aspx
their are a few methods listed in case the first one of going to Add/Remove ( may need to click "show all updates" )

    WMP11 uninstall instructions
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wi...aspx#RollingbacktoapreviousversionofthePlayer

if those fail then last option is to use System Restore to restore back to a point before they were installed IIRC WMP and IE betas may have created a restore point as part of their install.

thats the most worse scenario of installing IE7 "uninstalling" it
it messed my IE6 and OE
it takes 3 hours for me to cleaned up
So for me, stick to OPERA 9 (its out now)
or i can recomend also FF "if" the "ctrl c <> ctrl v" bugs is fixed

    my mistake:
i did not search first what is the bad side of IE7 b4 installing
    (charged to my experienced)

halo you'r the man!!! thank you for you'r advice it seems to have worked a treat. i got IE6 & WMP 10 back & they seem to be running fine. in the internet options connections tab there is still a blank box where the proxy server connection should be. i use DSL BROADBAND should it be blank? there was something in there before about DSL broadband connection but i cant remember exactly what it was..

If your broadband connects throught ethernet ( cat5e ) cable, then that box will be empty, its only filled with Dialup and USB modems generally, so if your connecting to th enet ok then dont worry the setting will be correct.

hi halo thanks for you'r reply. i connect thru AOL using an ADSL modem. everything is running fine but was just wondering why that box is now empty when the modem connection was listed in there b4. was just hoping i wont have any problems in the future with the connection not listed...

Nope if your connecting now ok, you'll be ok.

The conect box was more their for dialup opposed to broadband connections.
