Internet Explorer 8 Beta

    New to this - but been having problems with IE 7 (having to 'close down' usually) but this has occured with Safari and Firefox too. Downloaded IE 8 thinking this would solve the problem but experienced more problems accessing sites via 'Favorites' where the whole thing would freeze. Tried to download IE 7 BUT as there is a newer version installed, nothing doing! Any way that I can get the old version back? I've tested the notebook for viruses and bugs and nothing is showing and 'System Restore' is just a laugh and doesn't help.

    Sadly using a beta to try and fix an issue is asking for more trouble as betas are unfinished works and IE8 is in early beta stage so is prone to many issues, but to your reverting back to IE7, all you do is goto Add/Remove and choose IE8 and uninstall IE8 http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/03/13/installing-ie8.aspx

    but problem to this is if your running XP and updated to XP SP3 before uninstalling IE8 as you will loose the ability to uninstall via Add/Remove.
