Internet Explorer Ain't Exploring

Hello all, I'm new around here and looking for some help. I've been getting lots of error messages lately and lots of programs aren't working. I tried downing loading IE 6.0 and loading it but now I can't connect and I keep getting error messages. I can dial into my ISP account just fine and Netscape seems to be working ok, its just IE is not. The error says something like so and so file can't be written to some folder; please try to save the file somewhere else. (Of course not that I’m trying to get it to pop up so I can write down what it says it won’t up pop) This error message pops up at the bottom of the screen and every time I try to connect it will pop up a few times and then stop. I can't even get into Tools, Internet Options; it says because of restrictions I can't view the Internet Options and to contact the system administrator but I'm the system administrator, it's my home computer!! I'm running WinXP.

Any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated.

Without knowing more about the error, it makes it a bit difficult to diagnose. IE6 can have a lot of problems & it takes time to troubleshoot them. You might give these a try to see if anything looks familiar:

Is this where you downloaded IE6 from:

Hello again. Thanks again for the help. When I try to click these links I keep getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" Errors.
